What Showreel Studio is

It turns your own web app into finished product films and decks, and keeps them true as the app changes.

Showreel Studio makes product films from your real app. It walks the app, writes the script, records it in a real browser, adds a voice-over and your brand, and cuts the film for each audience you need. When the app changes, it tells you which films are out of date and records them again.

What it makes

  • Films of your app, in wide, square and vertical shapes, with subtitles and a transcript.
  • A cut for each audience: Sales, customers, socials or your own team, each checked against what that audience may see. See What audiences are.
  • Decks that follow the film, written for you or made from it.
  • Walkthroughs (click-through versions of a film) and GIFs.
  • Concept films of features that are not built yet, made from a prototype of your own app.

How it works

  1. Connect your app. You give it the address; it works out how the app loads and what to hide. See Connect your app.
  2. Write the storyboard. The storyboard is the film's script: what is said and what happens on screen, line by line. Showreel Studio can write it by exploring the app, from your code, or from a run-through you do once.
  3. Approve it. Nothing records until you do.
  4. Voice, record and build. The voice-over is read, the app is filmed following the script, and the film is put together with your brand's opening and closing.
  5. Share it. Send it to colleagues to review, then publish it at a link.

Where you work

  • On your Mac: the local UI (a page in your browser) and the showreel command in the terminal. This is where films and decks are made.
  • Online: the web app at app.showreelstudio.app, where films are shared, reviewed and published, cloud recordings run, and your organisation is managed.
  • In Claude Code: ask for a film and Claude writes and fixes it with you.

Your AI and your cloud

The writing runs on your own Claude plan in Claude Code, or on your organisation's own Claude API key. The voice runs on your organisation's own Google Cloud. Showreel Studio never spends on its own AI account for you, so there are no credits to run out of.
